Tasteful splatter of tone. Yes, shabby‐chic areas are mostly dominated by white and if you discover the hue too boring, maybe this is not the style for you. But that doesn't mean tone is shunned totally in every case.

Many of the rules still apply, but everything is just a little bit sleeker. Furniture is slightly more contemporary, window treatments are cleaner and free of pleats or frills, and fabrics are largely solid and neutral. For people who like the idea of traditional living rooms but want something a little more current, a new traditional room like this one designed by Highgate House is the way to go.

I signify the first directive is to be ‘rational’ also do not conceal the whole living–room only in pink. Too much pink can be nauseating. If you integrate it with white for instance then the ´consequence` will be much more tasteful also you‐will‐have a fashionable well designed living‐room. But if you select everything from the color of the ´armchairs` with curtains to the color of the flowers also pads also the furniture. The effect will be more possible a catastrophe than a triumph in good taste.

Don´t be afraid to reorganize, if you’ve had your furniture in the same spot since the day you've moved in. It may be time to lever it up. Try ´moving` the sofa to a dissimilar wall or turning it perpendicularly to produce separate seating spaces. It`s an immediate (also free) redesign!

Adorn with mirror, creator often place mirrors 'strategically' in little places in arrangement to make them feel bigger. One of the most ordinary little living‐room ideas is to hang a huge mirror in a middle location to generate a focal point. To reflect illumination plus add a nice ambiance put it beyond a illumination source such as a candle or pendant lamp. If possible; location a mirror across from your window so it will reflect the view also give the mirage of another window.

But if this isn`t practical for your home plus life; gas fireplaces work just as well. Also if neither wood burning or gas is an option. An electric `fireplace´ can still create a warm also comforting focal point.

Even the tiniest living‐rooms seem a lot more roomy when you replace the couch at the "heart of the room" with a sectional that is neatly tucked–away in the corner. With many contemporary `sectionals´ giving you an choice to redecorate the space by simply moving the individual pieces of the bigger sofa. It is ultra―easy to vogue a versatile living area.
